Yesterday we received a very special visit at CIC. The President of Cantabria, Miguel Angel Revilla and the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegría, visited our installations. 

The visit took place at our headquarters in Santander. The object of the visit was to bring to light CIC’s commitment with vocational training for young people.

What was the reason for the institutional visit? 

CIC is committed to youth, education, vocational training and job creation. Some of our initiative include: 

• CIC has traditionally bet on training as a guarantee for the future. We take students on internships, some who have finished their university degrees as well as those who have done vocational training. 
• We have organized “CIC Programming Bootcamp”, which has been going on every summer for years. 
• We collaborate with STEM Talent Girl whose objective is to increase the percentage of women that are studying science and technological degrees.

Today, youth unemployment is around 38% in Spain. 

CIC is committed to creating employment for young people and lowering the unemployment rate. We want young people to have access to job opportunities and give them scholarships and afford them internships. Our goal is for youth to have more job opportunities.
